With 25 years of experience as a trained fine furniture maker and refinisher, I bring a level of knowledge to each piece that goes far beyond simply making it look new again.
I understand furniture from the inside out—how it was designed, how the joinery works, why certain woods and finishes were chosen, and how a piece should be repaired or restored without compromising the craftsmanship .
My background includes extensive experience working with and restoring fine, handcrafted furniture, I am the only trained and Authorized West Coast representative for Thomas Moser Cabinetmakers and George Nakashima Furniture
I have been refurbishing and repairing for the two woodworkers for the past 18 years. That experience taught me that good restoration isn't about erasing every sign of age. It's about knowing what to repair, what to preserve, and what not to touch.

I don't approach a piece as simply a refinisher. I look at its construction, proportions, joinery, wood selection, grain, movement, and original craftsmanship before deciding how it should be restored.
Respect for the original piece.
Patina, age and character can be part of what makes fine furniture beautiful. My goal is not to make an important piece look artificially new, but to bring back its beauty while respecting its history.
Knowledge of wood and finishes.
Different woods respond differently to sanding, repairs, oils and finishes. Decades of hands-on experience allow me to choose a process appropriate for the individual piece rather than applying the same refinishing system to everything.
Repairs done by a furniture maker.
If a piece has loose joinery, damaged components, veneer problems, structural issues or missing parts, I have the woodworking background to address those problems—not simply disguise them with a new finish.
